Pricing and billing

The calmo.cloud plans, what each includes, and which costs stay with your server provider and Odoo.

calmo.cloud comes in four plans, with Enterprise on request for larger fleets. They differ in how many servers they include and in what you can do on top: backups to several destinations, the API, previews for pull requests and sharing with client teams. The number of people using Odoo never matters, and from Starter on neither does the size of your team.

Prices exclude VAT. Yearly billing is ten months for twelve.

Unlimited servers are meant for real use, up to about a hundred per team. For a larger fleet, a service level agreement, a contract of your own or payment by invoice, ask about Enterprise.

Odoos another team shares with you are free to use on every plan; the plan of the team that hosts them is what counts.

What is not included #

Two costs stay where they are today:

  • Your server. You pay your provider directly, at their public prices. calmo.cloud adds no markup. A Hetzner cloud server suitable for a small team starts at a few euros a month; the calculator on the pricing page suggests a size for your user count.
  • Your Odoo licence. calmo.cloud runs Odoo Enterprise, so you bring your own subscription. Self-hosting needs Odoo's Custom plan. Licence costs are billed by Odoo and are the same wherever you host.

calmo.cloud is invitation-based and opens in stages. Join the waitlist and we get in touch when your spot is ready; you will receive the billing details with your invitation.

Changing plans #

Free and Starter include one and two servers, so a third server means moving up to Pro. Pro and Agency have no server limit; moving from Pro to Agency adds what you need to host for clients, not more servers.

The Plan page in the team menu shows what your team uses of its plan.

When you reach a limit #

A limit only stops you from adding something new. Once your plan is full, the button for another server, Odoo instance, copy, team member or partner team is greyed out, and hovering it tells you which limit you reached. The same goes for features your plan does not include, such as hourly backups or pull request previews.

Nothing you already have is switched off. After moving to a smaller plan, your servers, Odoos, members, shares and backup schedules keep running as they are, and you can still edit them. One exception: the API and the command line only answer teams whose plan includes them, so scripts and tokens stop working when your team moves to Free.

A copy of an Odoo takes over the backups of the original only as far as your plan includes them: on Free, it backs up daily to the primary destination.

What happens if you leave #

Your Odoo instances, databases and configuration stay on your server; nothing is exported or converted, because nothing ever left the machine. Managed features such as scheduled backups, monitoring and preview deployments stop, so arrange those yourself before you disconnect a server.
